has a page on the Town's Website where you can learn about its mission, membersip, news and events, and an inventory of the Town's parks, public lands and walking trails, and their features.  Click on "Community" and then "Conservation Commission".

NOVEMBER 3, 2020 VOTING

We have a voting booth all set up in the Conference Room, if you would like to do early voting (absentee ballots).   To veiw the ballot go to government and then elections on our website.  On November 3, 2020 we will have voting from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

DOG LICENSES ARE AVAILABLE
  $6.00 spade or neuetured and $11.00 for unspade or unneuetured.   All dogs must be registered by December 31, 2020.

 

OWLS HEAD VILLAGE LIBRARY REOPENING

The Library will be open on Saturdays, 10 AM to 2 PM.  Pat Stephen is the new Librarian.

OWLS HEAD TOWN OFFICE HOURS HAVE CHANGED.

We will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

2020/2021 PROPERTY TAXES

The first installment is due and payable October 16, 2020 and the interest will be charged at 8.00% annually on all accounts unpaid November 16, 2020.

The Cemetery Committee

The Cemetery Committee is looking for new members. Please contact (594-7434) the Owls Head Town Office if you are interested.

Cemetery Committee Request

There are unidentified veterans in the Town's cemeteries and the Cemetery Committee would appreciate your help finding them. If you have a relative who is a veteran or know of a veteran who is buried in one of the Town’s cemeteries who doesn’t have a veteran’s marker or whose headstone doesn’t have veteran identification, please notify William Gay at 594-2302 and the Cemetery Committee will make sure that these veterans will be recognized in the future. They’ve earned that honor and respect.

American Lighthouse Foundation

Located in the Owls Head Lighthouse Keeper’s House (186 Lighthouse Road, Owls Head) which houses an Interpretive Center & Gift Shop. Parking is available in Owls Head State Park.  Normal hours of operation:

Monday & Wednesday:  12:00 Noon to 4:00 pm
Thursday thru Sunday:  10:00 am to 4:00 pm

Winter hours will vary.
